Mercedes Sanchez is a multimedia journalist and the founding editor of BeChicMag.com- a blog and digital lifestyle channel covering the latest in beauty, fashion and entertainment.
She’s also a freelance journalist and bilingual on-air expert. You can find her talking about the latest trends or sharing her best and worst dressed list during live award show recaps on Univision. She contributes to national publications such as Vista Magazine and ImpreMedia where some of her fashion and beauty articles are syndicated nationally.

Mercedes Sanchez has been described as an online influencer by national brands, social media organizations and publications like People en Español.
Her career kicked off when she worked for the New York Post’s Tempo — a monthly insert on Latino related arts and culture– as a features writer. She then went on to handle publicity for former Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion as a deputy press officer. A love for producing started when NBC called her to work for their Emmy award-winning morning show Today In New York.
She doesn’t just blog. Mercedes also creates original video for BeChicTV- a lifestyle channel where she shoots and edits how-to beauty videos, interviews designers and experts such as Vera Wang, Anna Wintour, John Leguizamo, Nigel Barker, Beyonce’s makeup artist Jackie Gomez, Galina Espinoza and many others.
Mercedes Sanchez is a native New Yorker where she resides today. She enjoys reading, searching for new stories and shopping in SoHo and NoLita early in the morning when the stores aren’t crowded.
